I am, however, cheap and certainly don\u2019t have a couple spare <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Large_denominations_of_United_States_currency\">Grover Cleveland\u2019s<\/a> to throw in Nikon\u2019s tip jar. Fortunately, there\u2019s a solution: just be a better photographer.<\/p>\n<p>My first step: take Scott Bourne\u2019s advice to heart. Scott has published a list of <a href=\"http:\/\/photofocus.com\/2009\/10\/12\/10-ways-to-improve-your-photography-without-buying-gear\/\">10 ways to improve your photography without buying gear<\/a>. Scott\u2019s suggestions were inspired by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pixelatedimage.com\/store\/\">David duChemin<\/a>, but David\u2019s tips cost $5 (I refer you to paragraph one for information on my fiscal leanings).<\/p>\n<p>My second step: start taking pictures. I know it\u2019s the only way to get better, and yet I still don\u2019t do it.
