The shipping companies can\u2019t be penalized when a package gets delayed due to outside influences.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pictures.little.org\/Hobbies\/The-Net\/Blog-post-pictures\/974795_7oy2w\/1\/#722172465_CF5T3-A-LB\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/thelittles.smugmug.com\/Hobbies\/The-Net\/Blog-post-pictures\/FedEx\/722172465_CF5T3-S.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If my package were to arrive early, however, that\u2019d be great. FedEx, though, has decided that it\u2019s too early to deliver my package. Turns out that if a shipper pays for three-day shipping it doesn\u2019t mean that a package will be delivered in three-days-or-less, it means three days. We wouldn\u2019t want anyone to get two-day shipping for the price of three now, would we?<\/p>\n<p>Taking off my cynical, <em>the man\u2019s out to get me<\/em> hat for just a moment, I could imagine there\u2019s a perfectly reasonable, logistical business decision for this move. If you have too many packages to handle on a given day (perhaps we\u2019re getting into holiday shipping season) it may be a good idea to hold back packages that won\u2019t be late. <\/p>\n<p>It really comes down to this: it\u2019s <strong>MY<\/strong> package and I want it! GIMME! FedEx must realize that, other than my wife, I\u2019m the most important thing in their world.
